Announcement Garbage
Garbage in LCJ is sorted into the following categories:
Burnable garbage
Includes: food waste, paper, cotton, leather shoes, athletic shoes, paper
diapers, saran wrap, cooking oil
Remove excess water from food waste
Don’t mix plastic in
Dispose of cooking oil by soaking it up in paper, or by solidifying it
Remove excrement from paper diapers
Non-burnable garbage
Includes: ceramics and plastic etc..
Package sharp items like glass in a safe manner before disposing
Remove excess water from food waste
Dispose of cooking oil by soaking it up in paper, or by solidifying it
Recyclable garbage
Cans, PET bottles, and Glass bottles
Completely dry out the inside before disposing
Remove plastic caps and clean out the insides before disposing
Hazardous waste
Includes: Mercury batteries, fluorescent light, and chemical things
Administrative Office will collect Hazardous garbage. If you have it, please
come to 6F.
Do not dispose of these items as burnable or non-burnable garbage.
Your action will save the earth.

First prize: 300,000JPY

Requirements: submit an application (can also be found on the FCCJ website), resume, copy of one’s student identification card, a brief statement on how you would use the money and ONE of the following
Original journalistic article of 800 to 1200 words

Photo entry: A selection of TEN 8×10 photos with a 200-word introduction about what the photos are meant to convey
Or
Video entry 1.5 - 3 minute television story package on one of the topics. Should be primarily the sole work of the contributor although outside sources can be cited as giving assistance.

(2) What Japanese Youth thin about the future of News in Newspapers, TV and the Internet.
